01 God’s Design for Marriage

Donna Freitas surveyed over 2500 students at public and private colleges and universities nationwide about a range of sexual behavior and wrote a book about it (Sex and the Soul: Juggling Sexuality, Spirituality, Romance & Religion on America’s College Campuses, 2008) .

What struck me about her findings is that when it comes to dating, sex and romance, the majority of students were unhappy with their own behavior. She gives a plethora of shocking statistics about how widespread the dissatisfaction is at Catholic and nonreligious, private and public colleges.

The majority of respondents reported being “profoundly upset” about their own behavior. They were simply wandering toward the altar, hoping there was a better way.

Our goal in this seminar is to show you a better way.

Note this seminar was given by David John and Krisan Marotta at the Center for Christian Study in 2011 and 2013. These recordings are from 2011.
